Mike started his musical journey learning piano at the age of 9. He worked his way through the grades before
discovering the guitar finding he loved it's sound and was hooked.
After
graduating from Leeds with a BA in Music mike studied jazz and contemporary music gaining an honours degree.
He
was a regular 'pit' musician at Leeds Opera House playing for shows such as West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Seven
Brides for Seven Brothers and many other productions.
He
then went on to complete a post graduate degree in teaching at Lancaster University St Martins college. Following his graduation
he worked and recorded with the West Coast Blues Orchestra.
Mike
is also an accomplished writer and composer and has written, composed and conducted many sucessful musicals and productions.
Before
forming Interactive MIke played in varied ensembles from quartets to 16 piece big bands covering all styles of music.
Unusual
fact ? Mike is also a qualified pilot!
